World Ocean Day 2022

World Ocean Day

The day started with a fun filled assembly from Severn Trent water explaining the importance of keeping ourselves healthy by keeping hydrated and also it told us about recycling plastics and the danger that they do to the ocean and sea.

Year 3

We watched the powerpoint on Layers of the Ocean, and followed up with videos about some of the creatures that live at the different depths. The children then completed their own "poster" about the layers which they took home.

Year 4

We found out about the importance of keeping the seas on oceans rubbish free. It is important to 'revitalize' the oceans as many parts of it including the coral reefs and the creatures are becoming endangered. We focused on the turtles and the children made collages out of rubbish that they had brought in from home.
