There are three different sets of questions for each comprehension, ranging from 1 star to 3 stars. Everyone should aim to complete the set of questions with two stars however if you wish to be challenged, go for 3 stars. (Answers are included.)
Writing
This week in writing we are going to have a character description focus. In this section you will find a 'Role on the wall' document. Use this as your planning process. The idea is that inside the picture you write adjectives to describe the characters' thoughts, feelings and personality. On the outside of the picture you write phrases to describe the characters' appearance. When you have completed this, use it to write a character description. There are three for you to complete: The Gruffalo, The Big Bad Wolf and Cinderella. Remember to refer back to your Year 2 writing mat to remind you the skills we would like you to try and include.
This is a writing skills mat that explains all the different skills we have learnt so far in Year 2. Try and use as many of these skills as you can, to improve your writing!
