COVID-19
SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTIFICATION AND PROCEDURES

Wednesday 18th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware, the government have asked all schools to close due to the COVID-19 outbreak to delay the virus reaching its peak. However the school will be open on Monday 23rd March for children of Key Workers and Vulnerable children (those with an EHCP or a Social Worker). Our school will be closed from Friday 20th of March for all other children.

Whilst your child(ren) are not at school our teachers will post their school work onto the school website https://www.stmarycatholicprimary.co.uk/ The page which hosts the children’s set work is on the ‘CHILDREN’ PAGE and is the first option entitled HOME/SCHOOL LEARNING CORONAVIRUS – see screenshot below:

There is a folder for each year group in which sits their work.

Your child(ren) will be able to complete their set work in an exercise book which we will  provide. Some classes will also be provided with a folder which contains worksheets and a pencil.

During the school closure, all communications will be made via text, website or Facebook. During this time, we turn our thoughts and prayers towards the elderly, the most vulnerable and their families. We will endeavour keep you up to date on any information which we receive from the government.

I thank you for your co-operation in anticipation of supporting us during this difficult time. Please continue to remember the vulnerable in our community, all coronavirus sufferers and their families in your thoughts and prayer.

God Bless

Mrs Mellor,

Headteacher
