Year 5 Greek Bakery Visit

Year 5 were given the amazing opportunity to visit Anasma Greek Bakery this week! We can’t thank the bakery enough for the experience and the opportunity to sample the delectable Greek foods. We were treated just like Greek gods themselves and enjoyed feta pastries, sausage rolls and hot chocolate. The children also had a language lesson from Marianna and learnt some useful greetings and pleasantries. These were then used when the children selected their cookies to take home.

It really has been a trip the children will never forget! #HistoryStm #year5stm

Year 4 Now Press Play

Last week, 4B had a go at using now press play. They experienced a Mayan sacrifice and went on a quest. They all thoroughly enjoyed it!

Year 2 Now Press Play

Year 2 have loved using the Now Press Play headphones this afternoon in our History lesson. We had the experience of being Florence Nightingale heading to work at the hospital during the Crimean War.

Year 5 Greek Launch Day

This term Year 5 will be learning all about the Ancient Greeks. To start off the unit, we all came to school dressed in togas. In English, we began our new text 'Who Let the Gods Out?' and were introduced to an interesting character called Mr Boil. In the afternoon, we competed in a mini Greek Olympic Games and embarked on a journey with Now Press Play. The children and adults had an amazing first day back after the Christmas break!

Year 5 Viking Experience

Year 5 have had the ultimate Viking experience today using Now Press Play. They went on a mission to find peace between Anglo-Saxons and Vikings before they were captured by King Alfred.
