Computing

Welcome to Computing

The lead teacher for computing is Miss Heath.

All computing lessons are taught by the class teacher.

"A better world is possible thanks to technological progress, if this is accompanied by an ethic inspired by a vision of the common good, an ethic of freedom, responsibility and fraternity, capable of fostering the full development of people in relation to others and to the whole of creation."

Pope Francis

What Ofsted said about computing at St. Mary's:

"Pupils said that they enjoy their learning because their teachers plan interesting lessons that challenge them across the curriculum. For example, pupils told inspectors how they have enjoyed special days when mathematics is taught through PE and how they are learning to speak French and create their own computer games."

Micro:bit Programming

Today, Year 5 enjoyed their Micro:bit Computing lesson. Thank you to St John Fisher Catholic College for allowing us to programme the Micro:bits. Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Remembrance Day Computing

Today to commemorate Remembrance Day, Year 1 observed 2 minutes of silence. The children reflected and prayed as a sign of respect. Poppies were offered on our prayer table. The children were able to use Purple Mash to create poppies during their Computing lesson!
