We use the local area when we can, and one of our activities was to make, and post, invitations for our Teddy Bears to invite them into school. As we walked back we were lucky enough to meet our school's postal workers and find out about what they were doing.
Our Teddy Bears joined in with lots of activities over the week, and then we rounded it up with a Teddy Bear's tea party using cakes we had baked and decorated.
We planted bulbs in the Autumn and cared for them until Spring. Then we added surrounds and sold them to raise funds for Marie Curie.
We visited the school's new family of hens, and learned about how to care and feed them. We also collected eggs they had laid!
For Mother's Day the children were given the theme of 'Flowers'. It was up to them to decide how they wanted to represent this. They were supported to paint, stick, create, pick and buy for their mums.
Our Holy Week unit focused on how Jesus' disciples were feeling. We linked this to our music making and used tuned percussion to make happy and sad music.
As part of our exploration of 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' we set up our own sensory trail outdoors for the children to experience.
Our summer term Catholic Life Pledge has got us thinking about different materials and waste. Some of the children to set up our own class recycling points to help us reduce, reuse and recycle.
Our class saint is Mary. May is her special month, so we had a celebration day. In the chapel we learned that she is often called 'Queen of Heaven', so we crowned here and gave her flowers.
To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee we had a whole school day of celebration. In Nursery we made crowns, twizzle sticks and decorated biscuits we had baked. We finished off with a foundation stage picnic outside!
The crossing patrol warden came to visit us and we learned how to cross safely.
