Making potions and having fun in the lovely weather in our fantastic outdoor area!
Look how our beanstalks have grown... look how tall they are now!
Thank you to everyone who walked the golden mile this morning... looking forward to seeing all the children, parents and families again tomorrow!
Walk to school week
Monday 21st May - Thursday 24th May
Next week is 'Walk to School Week' (Mon-Thurs). We appreciate that it is not possible for everyone to walk to school, so we are encouraging the children to walk around the playground when they arrive between 8:40 and 8:50am. If you are dropping your child at school, please come along and join in with them!
Jack and the Beanstalk and Life Cycles
We are growing our own beanstalks and acting out the story. I wonder whose beanstalk will grow the tallest!
We had a special visitor in school to talk to us about healthy eating and exercise. We even got to pedal a bike to make a delicious fruit smoothie!
Reception classes have said a big thank you to the PTA for purchasing a mud kitchen for their outdoor area. Let's get muddy!
We have had another visitor today... we had a Postman to tell us all about his job in the local community. Postman Hughes told us about what he does each day and the uniform he wears. We had a go at being a Postman by looking at the special computer and carrying a post bag.
We had a visit from PCSO Steve Edge today. He told us all about his job in the local community and we tried on different pieces of uniform.
We have made pizza today! We were like the Little Red Hen using a bread base for the pizza dough. Then we picked a selection of toppings to go with the cheese and tomato. Then off to the school kitchen to be cooked... delicious!
Little red hen... Look at our beautiful work on display in our classrooms. We have made windmills and animals from the story. We created rhyming strings so we could write our own rhyming words. We wrote down parts of the story and in particular what the animals said... No not I !!!
Fun and Learning in our fantastic outdoor classroom!
We have had lots of fun playing with the parachute on a windy day and the children loved searching for treasure in our sand pit. We even had our very own pop stars, singing and performing to their friends.
Reception Sports Morning
On Tuesday morning Mr Bridgewater organised and ran our sport morning. We ran in a variety of races, we balanced balls, walked on benches we even tried to walk with a tennis ball on a tennis racket! Well done yellow team for being the overall winners
We have been learning all about food and making healthy food choices. Both classrooms have beautiful displays of the children's hard work. The classrooms have the most fantastic role play areas so the children can explore the experience of eating out. What will you eat today?
We look forward to seeing you for our Christmas concert on Wednesday 13th December at 10.30am 🎄🎅🏼🎬
On Thursday 5th October all the children visited the chapel in school to see the beautiful flowers that families have sent in for this special occasion. The children enjoyed the quiet and stillness of the adoration along with prayers from Mrs Kemball. Thank you to everyone who sent the most beautiful flowers into school for this special day. Many thanks for your continued help and support. We are keeping the love of Jesus in our hearts.
Thursday 28th September is National Poetry day. The children in FS2 have written some rainbow poems as part of their colour topic. We have also shared some poems from the poem big books. We love poems!
We have had lots of fun settling into our new classes, making new friends and exploring our school environment.
